EveryCampus

We are looking to see a groundswell of prayer happen on campus. A partnership between Cru and InterVarsity emerged in May of 2017 when leaders of both organizations came together seeking to combine efforts to establish gospel communities on every campus in the United States.

Imagine for a moment what it would mean to have thriving ministries across every campus in the country. Giving every leader of the next generation the opportunity to respond to Jesus. This was vision from this meeting lead to the creating of the EveryCampus initiative.

The current reality is that nearly 77% of our college campuses do not have a known Christian community sharing the hope of Jesus. This means millions of students and faculty go home each year, possibly never hearing the Gospel or meeting even one person that follows Jesus.

But we believe there is a movement of God at hand, and it starts with prayer. It starts with you. By joining with us in prayer, we are seeking God to bring new movements in every corner of every campus.

You can make an impact by visiting the digital platform everycampus.com to choose a campus to prayer walk today.

#TestimonyThursday
Gotta testify today, b/c HE will have done something new by Tuesday.

A Native InterVarsity alum plans to pray on 6 Native serving campuses in the next week, and then seek to coach a student to plant on at least one.

About 2 weeks ago I first starting thinking about how get Native alums connected to Native InterVarsity (thank you Andrea Thomas). In just those 2 weeks the idea took on a life of its own and has morphed into better and better versions of itself. The same day that Shawn Young & Doug Schaupp said I should be thinking about my alums as planting coaches, I had a conversation with JD, an alum in Flagstaff, AZ, who is psyched to go pray on a number of Native serving campuses and see what doors God will open. Not only that, but we thought, “hey–we know a couple other great alums in the area, let’s invite them too.” That was yesterday, today one of them has said she is in.

In the next TWO weeks JD plans to pray on SIX Native serving campuses (4 of them don’t yet have prayer walks logged)! He is listening and watching for where God is opening doors for ministry with the goal that he will coach a student he meets on campus to plant a Native InterVarsity ministry there.

Join us in praying for NAU (Native grad students), Coconino Community College, Northland Pioneer campuses in Holbrook and Winslow, UNM** in Albuquerque and the Institute of American Indian Arts (IAIA).

NYC campus staff Cristina Chapelle took a City College student to pray at the Bronx Community College. While looking to meet a person of peace on campus, they asked for directions from the first person they met. During that conversation, Cristina sensed God’s movement in this student’s life and shared the gospel. The
student responded: “I want to be saved: How can I be saved?” A similar thing happened at the Borough of Manhattan Community College.

Five NYC staff gave an hour to spy out the land and pray at New York Institute of Technology (NYIT) Manhattan campus. Two staff met students outside the school, and were connected to one student who was open and interested in leading a Bible study on campus. Meanwhile, three staff went to the Office of Student
Life, connected to the Dean of Student Life, by a ministry partner who is an administrator at NYIT. In the office, they had the opportunity to pray for the student government president who took a step towards following Jesus! While they were praying, a Student Life staff overheard the prayer, joined the prayer and then asked if she could be the staff advisor for InterVarsity on campus: which didn’t exist yet! Furthermore, an NYIT student came to faith that same month in a Bible study that met on a different campus!
